Sabina's Splendid Brain!

Sabina’s Splendid Brain chronicles the life of the tenacious and passionate Sabina Spielrein (a Russian-Jewish psychoanalyst) as she struggles through the circumstances of her family, her education, her therapy, the professional barriers facing women and wartime anti-Semitism.

Experience the production on stage in back-to-back weekend performances Sept. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. Additional matinee performances will take place at 2 p.m. on Sept. 16 and 23.

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can-Afford ($10, $25, $40, $55) and can only be purchased in advance through the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre box office.

Fall Outdoor Travelling Walks

Explore your community, get active, learn about our green spaces and connect with new friends. Join an outdoor guided walk hosted by the Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park and the Friends of Walker's Creek as they lead us through the parks and trails that define the Garden City.

Walks are approximately 90 minutes long and are weather permitting. If it's raining, please join the group at the next scheduled walk.

There is no need to register for the walks and there are no fees!

Walk a Mile in HER Shoes is a symbolic gesture of men marching in female footwear to raise awareness and funds for the issue of violence against women and children. The Walk gives men the opportunity to publicly take a stand, and it shows that men are willing to stand together with women in making the world a safer place for all women and children.

100% of the proceeds from the event support Gillian's Place shelter for abused women and children.
