Port Dalhousie Candlelight Stroll

Organized by the Port Dalhousie Beautification Works Committee (BWC).

Meet at St. John's Anglican Church at 80 Main St. for Christmas carols and a surprise visitor before the stroll begins. The stroll heads down Dalhousie Avenue, from Ann to Simcoe streets, and then returns to the church for hot chocolate and cookies in the hall.

There will be entertainers singing Christmas carols throughout the neighbourhood which will be transformed into an old fashioned winter wonderland.

Donations will be collected for the Salvation Army. Candles will be sold for $2 each and warm winter clothing, including socks, mitts, scarves and jackets, will also be accepted.

New Year's Day Levee

Raise a glass of bull's milk to toast the New Year at 11:45 with the Mayor, City Councillors and members of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and the 10th Battery Royal Canadian Artillery. The firing of the cannon follows at noon. Revelers can also explore the messes or gathering areas on the second floor of the armoury.
