Niagara's multicultural community opens its doors to welcome guests to more than 25 International Open Houses.

In addition to the open houses, there will be a number of special events:

Spring Outdoor Travelling Walks

Explore your community, get active, learn about our green spaces and connect with new friends.Join an outdoor guided walk hosted by the Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park and the Friends of Walker's Creek as they lead us through the parks and trails that define the Garden City.

Walks are approximately 90 minutes long and are weather permitting. If it's raining, please join the group at the next scheduled walk.

There is no need to register for the walks and there are no fees!

Thurs. May 14 - Walker's Creek North. Meet on Parnell Rd. at Walker's Creek
Thurs. May 21 - Malcolmson Eco-Park. Meet at the park entrance.
Sat. May 30 - Cindy Drive and Cherie Road Parks. Meet on Cindy Dr. at Walker's Creek

Cycle For Autism

Ride, run, roll or stroll along a circular trail in the beautiful Burgoyne Woods (St. Catharines) and get engaged in exciting PanAm themed fitness activities in-between every lap! But the fun doesn't end there! Stick around to enjoy the musical entertainment, free lunch, face painting, bouncy castle and much more! The day will also feature a spectacular show by the talented and entertaining Ultimutts Stunt Dogs!

NEW THIS YEAR! Elementary and high school teachers are encouraged to form a school team and compete with fellow faculty on behalf of their educational institution for the Cycle for Autism – TEACHER CHALLENGE trophy! The teacher team that raises the most money will win the honour of hosting the trophy at their school until next year’s event!

The 2015 Cycle for Autism is a family-oriented, annual fundraiser for Autism Ontario-Niagara Region Chapter. Our Chapter is proud to offer a wide variety of programs and support services for individuals with ASD and their families. This event brings the whole community together in a show of support and encouragement. The funds raised help ensure that every individual with ASD has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. There is NO fee to register for this event, but each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $20.00 in pledges to show their support!

The Walk for Women is an opportunity for mothers and children, sisters, friends and co-workers to come together to say with a unified voice that woman abuse is unacceptable and to take a stand together against domestic violence.

Walk a Mile in HER Shoes: The Mens March to End Violence against Women

Walk a Mile in HER Shoes is a symbolic gesture of men marching in female footwear to raise awareness and money for the issue of violence against women. The Walk gives men the opportunity to publicly take a stand, and it shows that men are willing to stand together with women in making the world a safer place for all women and children.
